A Splendid Experience

Welcome to Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams

Front Door
By recommendation of a Florence friend, Abigail Campbell, a college fashionista at Belmont University, we visited Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams in East Nashville during our vacation. It was so cute and amazing, I decided to give it it's own blog post. Yep, that's right.

Not only is the logo really fun, but the shop was inviting with it's fresh flowers in reused Boylan soda bottles. They also used chalk boards to write their menu, which is something I really like right now. I have yet to implement it in my house, but I love seeing it around town.

Jeni's isn't your typical ice cream shoppe. They don't have mint chocolate chip or cotton candy flavored ice cream. Instead, they create a more natural, yet exotic, palate for the foodie's taste buds. And their ice cream isn't just flavored, it's filled with the real stuff.

We tried as many samples as we wanted, thanks to the lady behind the counter. This was important for Ethan, who didn't really like some of the crazy ones like Wildberry Lavender, but absolutely loved The Milkiest Chocolate in the World and Ugandan Vanilla Bean. Those were his two choices.

Tyler chose the Cherry Lambic Sorbet. It was rich and delicious. I couldn't decide, so I had a scoop of Riesling Poached Pear Sorbet and a scoop of Goat Cheese and Red Cherry. The cups seem small, but they really are the perfect size portion. It's sweet and yummy but not too filling.

It was an all around great experience for our family! Nashville did not fail to deliver on quality ice cream. If you're ever in Nashville, or one of their other locations, visit Jeni's.
